India, one of the 18 mega-diverse countries, lies within Indomalaya Eco zones and displays a significant variety of biodiversity with more than one third of the endemic species. India's forest range covers tropical rainforests of Andaman islands,Western Ghats, North-East India, moist deciduous forests of Eastern India, and the coniferous forests of the Himalaya.





Indian diverse and rich wildlife is preserved and protected in numerous national parks, wildlife sanctuaries and zoological gardens all throughout the different forest regions in India.
